The character that am related to is called Raul and people think he is bandito . But he is a great artist. We have learned about 12 characters so far. What i like about that characters have incredible skills. I am a artist because it was all i could do when i came to this country.I hate the book because I am not in it.

We are different because he is Spanish and is from Mexico and people thing he is a bandito
He is like me because he try to help some girl with art. I don't like when people call him bandito.

Who was Langston Hughes? the poem writer.How was life for black people when Hughes was growing up?it was painful .What poem of his did you read in class today? the sky one is the one i read .Do you think black people have it easier in 2009 than they did in 1930, why?yes they do. why not? because they can vote know than back than . What privileges do black people have today that they didn't have when Langston Hughes was growing up? the have cars to drive.

How did Langston Hughes fight against Jim Crow Laws? he stayed believing.How did Shirley Chisholm fight against Jim Crow Laws?he lives his life. How did Malcolm X fight against these Laws? he changed his ways. How did Martin Luther King jr fight these laws? he gave amazing speeches. If people never spoke out against segregation/Jim Crow how would our world be different today? we would still have rights.

Shirley Chisholm

1st paragraph
-What did you learn today? Today I learned about Shirley Chisholm the first black woman to run for the highest power/office in the united state.
-What did you do today? Today I watch a video on the smart board about
Shirley Chisholm and how she felt about the future of the children of tomorrow.
-How do you feel about Shirley Chisholm? I feel that she is separation for woman and girls.
-Would you like to learn more about Shirley Chisholm? No because she is only telling me something I have heard a thousand time.

had the time to learn about her Why?because he had his on problem
-Who is the black historical person you want to know most about? My dad!!!!
-What do you now know about black history? I know it the history of how black came to be in America. (compared to what you knew on Monday)

How do you think blacks were treated when Shirley ran for president?They were starting to get a little respect back then.
How many woman can you name that ran for president? Two!
Why is Shirley Chisholm important to history? She remind us to never stop going for your goals even if they seem imposable.

Malcolm X

Today I learned about Malcolm X.
What I did today was write about a picture of Malcolm and the KKK .
I fell that Malcolm was a great civil rights movement leader because he learning form his past.I would love to learn more about Malcolm X I want to know who killed him and etc.

I like black history month not just because am African American. I like black history month because I learn about people I have never seen before.
The black historical person I want to know most about is Thurgood Marshall.I know alote about BLACK HISTORY.




I have read a poem that was written by JonAmo it is called a" black car in the white night sky. "Another poem I read was called"Pride."This is a great book just read it.I LOVE POEMS THEY PUSH ME TO GREAT WORDS!!
